Thank you for entering your song of The Next Great West Virginia Song Contest
sponsored by Wingman Records. Listed below are the guidelines of entering the contest.
1. The contest is open to all songwriters.
2. Songs must be submitted by the songwriter.
3. Songwriter’s signature must appear on the entry form.
4. Songwriter can but does not have to perform the song.
5. Songs released by a national label or Wingman Records are not eligible, songs
released by other regional labels or released from micro/home studio are eligible.
6. Songs must be less than 5 minutes.
7. Songs can be submitted on CD or Cassette tape.
8. Two (2) copies of the lyrics should be submitted with each entry.
9. All entries must be postmarked by or on May 10, 2006.
10. Entry Fees will be 18.63 for one song, 35.00 for two and 40.00 for three songs.
11. The songwriter retains all rights to the song.

13. All songs about West Virginia, its people, a regional or town of West Virginia, event
in West Virginia history or the general West Virginia state of mind will be eligible. (The
words “West Virginia” do not have to appear in the song)
14. Eight (8) of the mail-in entries will advanced to the Finals Round which will be hold on
June 4, 2006 at 2:00pm at Tamarack in Beckley, West Virginia.
15. Finalists will be announced on the Wingman Records website
www.wingmanrecords.com at 5:00pm, May 21, 2006.
16. All finalists must perform their entry live during the finals.
17. Up to three (3) performers can perform the song during the finals.
18. Awards will be based on quality of the song and its presentation.
19. Awards: 300.00 Grand prize, 150.00 Runner-up and 75.00 Second Runner-up.
20. The grand prize song will appear on an up-coming Wingman Records release.

to us. If not, what are you waiting on, write-it, record it and hurry-up and mail it to us.
